As an Associate Production Planner, you will plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor final approval of products through the complete production cycle. Work from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. Coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.
Primary responsibilities include
Engage in special operations to match product demands and achieving delivery objectives
Develop capacity planning tools to determine if production will be constrained in current and future periods; level load the production plan, and identify potential corrective actions
Measure and track continuous improvement opportunities related to scheduling adherence and manufacturing cycle times
Identify, investigate and resolve machine or work center constraints that interfere with schedule completion and obtainment
Monitor and implement schedule execution, including prioritizing and resolving issues as required
Develop daily, weekly and monthly reports to communicate master production schedule performance
Drive best-in-class methods to improve scheduling and improved transparency
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Capabilities
Strong communication and business acumen skills
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Education and Experience
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and no previous professional experience
